What does a landing page roast tell me?
Whether a stranger gets, from the first lines, what you sell, to whom and what to press. It names eight problems; the full bill adds a written fix for each and three replacement headlines. It reads the page as published, without running its scripts: a page that only appears once JavaScript has run gives it little to read.
What does the AI actually read?
What a search engine or a link preview reads: the title, the description, the headings, the buttons and the text of the page, with no JavaScript run. And its stylesheets: the colours, the typefaces, the type sizes, how it adapts to a phone. It does not look at a screenshot: it judges what the page declares. If the page is empty without JavaScript, that is the first line of the bill.
